New pattern release: Team Beanie hat pattern

Team Beanie hat should be your next project to knit!

This pattern was inspired by the Team Headband pattern that turned out to be so popular! I just knew I had to make a similar hat pattern! The stripes are different between the two team patterns, but similar in nature.

I thought it was appropriate to release it just before the Super Bowl – although we wont talk about the fact that my favorite team won’t be participating in the 2021 Super Bowl, or that a certain quarterback I can’t stand is in there again…

Nope, not gonna talk about that!

ASH Fiber Arts - Team Beanie

The Team Beanie hat is a quick knit project. It’s one that you could easily in a couple of hours – whether you’re watching a game on television, or if you’re viewing your favorite sports team outdoors.

Or… if you’re like my daughter, who could care less and would prefer that football (or any other sport) wouldn’t interfere with “her” tv time, then you can also make this hat in fun, bright colors, just because!

I don’t include instructions on how to create a pompom, but making one using all three colors in the hat makes it even more whimsical!

Team Beanie hat variations

I included instructions on how to make the hat with just two colors (as shown in the gold hat above). Personally, I prefer the 3-color hat, but have made several of each type.

The instructions for the Team Beanie hat also include how make this using a jog-less stripe. In the gray/purple hat above, you can just barely see where the new rounds start in the hat. Additional blocking may help eliminate even that little bit of “jog”.

(p.s. Go Packers! 😉)

What colors would you make your hat in?
